The Ross Marathons in Tasmania on Sunday, 2 September 2018 has a full marathon, teams marathon, half marathon, 10km and 1.5km children's challenge.

Ross is located 78km south of Launceston and 117km north of Hobart.

The teams marathon has teams of 2, 3 or 4 people. Each person must run a minimum of 1 full lap of the course (10.55km). Members of each team have the option of completing 1, 2 or 3 laps with remaining members to run the remaining laps until 4 full laps have been completed.

The Ross Marathons started in 2004 as the "Festival of Marathons", a series of athletic events aimed at fostering community participation in physical activity and the enjoyment of a healthy lifestyle. The marathon was dedicated to the memory of US born athlete Dean Thackwray who competed in the marathon at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics and later settled in Tasmania.
