Open and Age Throws Meet (in conjunction with the TMA Throws Pentathlon Championship)
Open Throws Meet and TMA Throws Pentathlon Championship
Venue: Domain Athletics Centre, Queens Domain, Hobart
Date: Sunday 5 December starting at 10am.
Championship Events: Hammer Throw, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin and Weight Throw, in that order.
Entry Fee: $10.00 for the TMA Throws Pentathlon or $5.00 for individual events (covers as many events as you wish). There is no entry fee for open athletes.
Medals will be awarded in the TMA Throws Pentathlon to men and women in each 5 year age group. i.e. M and W 35-39, 40-45 etc. Entrants must me financial members of TMA to be eligible for medals. TMA members must wear TMA uniform in the championship event.
AT registered athletes (no trialling athletes) are invited to attend and compete in individual throws events. All throws, with the exception of the Weight Throw are included in the AT Permit. AT members are welcome to be involved in the Weight Throw, however results cannot be formally recognised. There will also be a Pole Vault event on the program.
The proposed timetable is:
10:00am – Men and Women Pole Vault, Women Hammer
10:30am – Women Shot Put, Men Hammer
11:00am – Women Discus, Men Shot Put
11:30am – Men Discus
12:00pm – Women Javelin
12:30pm – Women Weight Throw, Men Javelin
1:00pm – Men Weight Throw.
There is no online entry portal for this event – entry is via email to firstname.lastname@example.org – please state your name, age group on the day of competition and the events you are entering. Entry fees are payable via bank transfer to the following bank account:
