Flinders Island Running Festival

Article

We're excited to announce our new dates are Friday 31 August through to Sunday 2 September 2018.  We know you all need time to prepare and get organised for this amazing festival of all things running.  If you need flights or accommodation to attend, we'll be back soon with information and suggestions on getting here, staying and getting around.

About the Event
The Flinders Running Festival is all about getting out and having fun.  It started in 2007 as a community fun run and health promotion day and has grown every year since.  Now we have the 26 km Bendigo Bank Pub2Pub and the 42km Pub2Pub Trail Marathon followed by the FIAAI Flinders 5, a 5 km or 2 km event.

The festival is still very much a community weekend encouraging as many people to participate at any speed, pace or gait they please.  For many local families it's a way of getting together and celebrating Father's Day.  There are no time restrictions or expectations for those who like to take their time but there is plenty of competition for runners who like to test themselves.  And of course there is plenty of opportunity for good food, great views and inspiring conversations!
